Making the change to completely minimize my waste was a no-brainer for me. I was always asking myself; why do I need to buy something wrapped in plastic packaging, end up in the landfill and is made from toxic chemicals that will end up polluting our water system?
I know it’s hard to know what products to choose sometimes with a lot of greenwashing going on. (to see what greenwashing is and follow the link to my previous post 🙂 )
I’m always getting questions like; how do I know that a toothbrush is really made with sustainable bamboo or not…? What are my options for low waste shampoo? Is there an alternative to plastic razors?
That’s why I’ve decided to make things a little easier for you!
Week by week, i’ll explore my detailed list of the items I’d recommend as a replacements. They’re also made with mostly natural ingredients and are just as good as any regular products you can find in the supermarket.
I have linked the ingredients list to the original page if possible, for your convenience. In case you’d like to do further research of you own. I’ve also written my personalised experience of each item and why each one is more beneficial for our personal and environmental health, than its plastic counterpart.
